A shortage doesn't start at the pharmacy. It starts three suppliers upstream.
PharmaFlow AI watches a formulary's supply chain end to end — price, shortage risk, supplier stability, and the geopolitical events that move all three — so a disruption shows up as a flagged supplier weeks before it shows up as an empty shelf.
This is a research prototype, not a procurement or compliance system. The dashboard above runs against a synthetic drug, supplier, and pricing dataset on a real backend — it does not yet ingest live regulatory, supplier, or market-pricing feeds, and nothing here is procurement, investment, or compliance advice.
One number, weighed from several
A single loud alert is not the same as a risky supplier. Every supplier gets a composite 0–100 risk score that weighs price volatility, geopolitical exposure, compliance flags, and demand pressure together, so a spike in one signal doesn't automatically dominate the read.
Twelve modules, one formulary
Each module answers a different question about the same 32-drug, 35-supplier formulary. Supplier Risk sits at the centre — the module most recently reworked, folding supplier comparison directly into the risk view as a tab instead of a separate page, with full frontend test coverage.
Supplier Risk
CoreThe composite 0–100 score above, rolling up every other module's signal into one ranked view.
Price Forecast
ForecastingPredicts per-drug price movement — the module behind the formulary's ±12.5% MAPE accuracy figure.
Shortage Predictor
ForecastingFlags SKUs at risk of stockout ahead of the reorder point, not after it.
Geopolitical Intel
SignalsTurns regulatory and trade events abroad into per-supplier alerts, like the one driving the trend above.
Demand Forecast
ForecastingProjects formulary demand forward so purchasing can size ahead of need rather than react to it.
Benchmarking
SignalsCompares supplier pricing and performance against peers in the same category.
Counterfeit Risk
ComplianceFlags supply-chain patterns associated with counterfeit risk for review.
Inventory
OperationsCurrent stock position against reorder thresholds, formulary-wide.
Scenarios
PlanningWhat-if modelling for a single-supplier or single-region disruption before it happens.
Supply Chain Map
VisualizationVisualises formulary exposure across manufacturing geographies at a glance.
Compliance
ComplianceTracks each manufacturer's regulatory standing per drug over time.
ESG Scoring
SignalsEnvironmental, social and governance scoring per supplier, alongside the risk score.
Every alert traces back to a source
The live feed ranks geopolitical events, price anomalies and quality signals in one stream by severity, so nothing gets buried under two dozen lower-priority entries. A sample from the current run:
Geo Alert: Huahai Pharmaceutical API (China)
China updates pharmaceutical manufacturing regulations
Geo Alert: Cristalia Brazil API (Brazil)
Widespread quality failures detected at Brazil API manufacturers
Price Spike: Oseltamivir Phosphate (+65.7%)
Forecast price $1988.93/kg vs. base $1200.00/kg — consider forward buying
Price Spike: Dextrose 5% (IV) (+64.8%)
Forecast price $8.24/kg vs. base $5.00/kg — consider forward buying
Stated plainly, not blended together
The engineering is real and running; the data behind it today is not yet a live production feed. We'd rather say that outright than let a polished dashboard imply otherwise.
The dashboard, backend, and scoring
All twelve modules run against a real backend with a real scoring pipeline, under active development and full frontend test coverage on the Supplier Risk view.
- Composite risk scoring across price, geopolitics, compliance, demand
- Live alert feed ranked by severity
- Forecast accuracy tracked as ±12.5% MAPE
Live data integrations
The 32-drug, 35-supplier dataset driving the demo today is synthetic. Connecting it to production data is the next phase, not something already switched on quietly.
- Regulatory and trade-event feeds
- Supplier EDI / procurement system integration
- Live market pricing APIs

We're looking to validate Supplier Risk and the live alert feed against a real formulary before wiring up production data feeds.
